About School Counseling at Brownsville
As your school counselors, we work as a team with our parents, our school staff, and our community to help make school a caring and supportive place for our students. We work to help children overcome barriers to their progress in their academic, social, and emotional growth through weekly classroom guidance lessons, individual and group counseling, and informal lunch groups. Mrs. Callihan works with our kindergarteners, first graders and a portion of our fifth graders. Mrs. Sheffler works with our second graders, and Ms. Ingram works with our third graders, fourth graders and a portion of our fifth graders. Please contact us if your child needs support. We love working with your children!
Albemarle County School Counseling Program Overview
The Albemarle County School Counseling & Guidance program facilitates student development in three broad content areas and standards for each area. The standards are intended to enable all students to achieve success in school and to develop into contributing members of our society. The emphasis is on success for all students, not only those who are motivated, supported, and ready to learn.
