Meet the Brownsville School Counselors
I grew up outside of Orlando, Florida, but I have lived in Boston, Seattle, Maryland and Charlottesville since graduating from college. I earned my Bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Florida and my Master's degree in counseling from Northwest University.
I have worked with children and families for more than 16 years, both in clinical, non-clinical and school settings.
My husband and I have three children, ages 9, 11, and 13. Our family loves to travel, hike, read, raise our flock of chickens, and spend time with our dog.
I am so excited to BEE part of the Brownsville Counseling Team again, and look forward to meeting all our returning and new bees!
I am originally from Charleston, West Virginia.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech, and my Master’s degree in Counseling from West Virginia University.
I have experience working with children in clinical settings, and I have worked as a school counselor for twenty years. This is my eighth year at Brownsville.
I am a proud mother of a middle schooler, and a high schooler. I try to balance my work life with running, spending time with family and friends,
gardening and being outside as much as possible.
I enjoy working at BES and feel lucky to both live and work in this community.
